The Burial Choir is the solo project by New Jersey native Robert Scott. Founded in 2011 and based out of Wisconsin the music
has been described as having lumbering post-metal riffs akin to ISIS and Russian Circles, with the swagger and groove of QOTSA at their best.

OMG, late to the party but this is some of the best occult infused doom stoner tackle I've ever heard. Reference points include Sabbath (obvs), especially with the Ozzy-esque vocals but there's also the melodiousness of early Heep mixing with a more contemporary occult rock sound. It starts in the 70's and makes it to the present day. The riffs are huge but it's their way with a hook that elevates this from your average doom/stoner fare. Very wonderful indeed!
